Our mission statement is:
" Helping others to help themselves " Our aim is to help and educate individuals and families with their financial affairs through the development of money management skills, thereby strengthening family well being as a whole. We achieve this by offering FREE, confidential support and advice, working one on one with clients; negotiating and advocating on their behalf with creditors, Work and Income, Inland Revenue and addressing budgeting needs and debt levels. Our service operates throughout the Bay of Islands and is based in Kawakawa. Our core hours are 9am– 3pm. New appointments are able to be seen on the same day for emergencies or within three days for new clients. We have an open door policy working with community based representatives allowing a formal and informal reciprocal referral process to address identified needs of clients, i.e. housing, licensing, health and social issues etc.
